Quebec will invest more than $20 million into the immigrant settlement services

The Government of Quebec is planning to invest more than $20 million into the immigrant settlement services for the next three-year period. Within the last two years, the province has contributed to settlement services for immigrants via 74 service centres throughout the province. In 2021, Quebec has already provided $15 million in funding for settlement services in all regions of the province. In addition, the Quebec Government also provided an extra $7.4 million in funding for 78 immigrant-related projects in 17 regions of the francophone province. …

Canada invited 2,024 candidates under the International Experience Canada

Over the last two weeks, the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held new draws in the pools of International Experience Canada (IEC). Ontario issued 7,849 nomination certificates this year

On October 14, 2021, the management of the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) released a new update on the issuance of the provincial nomination certificates. In 2021, OINP has issued nominations to 7,849 applicants, 1,010 nominations more compared to the previous update on September 9. In 2020, Ontario invited 16,976 candidates and issued nominations to 8,050 main applicants, including 7,249 spouses and dependent children. The Federal government delegated 8,350 spots to OINP and extra 250 nominations for temporary foreign workers in intermediate skilled occupations (NOC C) for 2021 allocation. …

Survey results show that Canadian education and immigration policies attract international students

In July 2021, IDP Connect conducted a survey with more than 6,000 students from 20 countries, including international students currently studying at 527 universities and colleges in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and the United States, to understand their interest and evaluation of different study destinations. On October 12, 2021, the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) published new nomination issuance statistics. In September 2021, the province nominated 414 skilled workers and approved 4 business concepts. Manitoba also refused 1 business concept. MPNP invited 1,252 skilled workers, 3 business concepts and sent LAAs to 2 business candidates.
